Founded in 1988 by Susan Bishop, Bishop Partners has made its name providing executive search consulting to the cable TV, broadcasting, publishing and entertainment industries. With recent convergence of technologies, its business has expanded to include telecommuncations/wireless and digital media also.
Working from offices in New York’s fashionable mid-town Manhattan area, Susan and her team have recruited hundreds of senior level executives for key positions with top companies in the fields of cable/broadband, broadcasting, publishing, digital/internet and telecommunications, in every functional area including CEOs, COOs and CFOs.
Prior to starting her own firm, Ms. Bishop was a Partner for six years with Johnson, Smith & Knisely, a prominent generalist search firm based in New York City and spent ten years in the broadcast and cable tv industry in a variety of senior positions.
Susan earned her Bachelor of Arts at Briarcliff College, her Master's in Business Administration at Fordham University, and has completed Harvard Business School's Owner/President Program (OPM). She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. She serves on many Executive Search and Cable TV committees
